Stratford-on-Avon District Council need to deliver 9,500 homes between 2008-2028.
Land adjacent to the villages of Lighthorne Heath & Gaydon has been identified by Stratford-on-Avon District Council's emerging Core Strategy for a strategic mixed use village, including up to 3000 new homes, a primary school and a neighbourhood centre. It also includes provisions for future employment land for Jaguar Land Rover.
The promoters of the land, Commercial Estates Group and the Bird Group , are working with Stratford-on-Avon District Council to draft a masterplanners, John Thomson & Partners, have been appointed to develop a Vision which will form the basis of a Policy Framework Document. The intention for this is to be adopted by the District Council as a formal Supplementary Planning Document should the proposal be included in the approved version of the Core Strategy.
